June, 2008 - Last 19th of June 2008 took place at CITEVE the TVCformar Closing Session, where CeNTI presented the results of the project Textilis (Arco Têxteis and CeNTI consortium).
TVCformar aimed the integration of unemployed graduates in companies in order to create methodologies for the development of new products and/or innovative processes. Arco Têxteis, a textile company dedicated to hosier’s extended, with this project, its range of products seeking new application areas such as: the automotive area, developing safety clothing (suits) with Auto-Europa specifications; the medical area, creating an anti-microbial coat for auxiliary personnel; the casual clothing area, developing a shirt with waterproof characteristics; the executive area, developing shirts with temperature regulation; and, finally, the children's area, developing interactive shirts with dirt-repellent.
There were also made two studies for development of emerging processes in the textile area: a “nano-velcro” and a plasma application in cotton to enhance substantially their dye uptake and adherence. CeNTI intends to continue cooperating with textile companies in projects aiming the product and processes development and providing high innovation levels.
