NANOCLEANLEATHER

 

The project NANOCLEANLEATHER aims to develop natural leather with improved cleaning properties - anti-soiling or self-cleaning - designed for automotive interiors, using nanostructured additives. In addition, it is intended that the improvements in terms of cleaning properties allows to explore the pioneering use of nubuck and suede - traditional products of the tanning industry - in the transport industry.

With an overall investment of 459.422,32€, this project is co-financed under Portugal 2020 Program, under the Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization (COMPETE 2020), in the amount of 330.250,73€, from European Regional Development Fund.

The project will last for 36 months, from September 2016 to August 2019, and the consortium is formed with the company Couro Azul and the entities CeNTI and CTIC.
