Smart Materials & Solutions


CeNTI’s role is to drive new materials and devices in order to contribute for product or innovation through all the necessary stages of development. Generally, CeNTI’s R&D services take a multi-disciplinary approach, a lot of experimental work and include technologists and researchers. Main applications include sensors-actuators, OPVs, OLEDs, supercapacitors, electrochromic devices and integrated systems.

This area is divided in 2 major programs:

  • Thin Films & OPV/OLEDs

CeNTI Smart Materials & Solutions platform includes:

  • Roll-to-roll (500 mm): plasma treatment, hotmelt slot-die, CVD, DC Sputtering, Metal evaporation, Polymer Multi Layer deposition w/ E-beam, Plasma enhanced ultrasonic spraying with UV curing
  • Polymer Multi Layer deposition at supersonic speed w/ E-beam
  • Inkjet Printer (200 x 200 mm), Screen Printer
  • SMT (Surface Mount Technology) line (Pick&Place, dispensing and soldering)
  • PCBs prototyping in rigid and flexible substrates
  • Roll to Roll Etching, screen printing, engraved roller, slot-die, drying and laminating
  • Thermal Evaporation Unit (150x150mm) for small molecules and metals

  • 12m R2R Printing, Coating and Lamination line 300mm web
  • Pilot scale R2R Printing, Coating and Lamination system 100mm web
  • R2R Thin film deposition system 500mm web: Dual Mag Sputtering, Metal Evaporation and PML
