Nano@Construction – Applied nanotechnology to energy efficiency and sustainable construction
This project, led by CeNTI, in partnership with Centro Habitat, is about to end this year. Compete (managing authority for POFC) has recently released news about the project on their website, briefing the aims of the project, giving several good examples of achieved indicators and about the application of nanotechnology in materials for sustainable construction.
Also known as atopic dermatitis, eczema is an inflammatory, chronically relapsing and pruritic skin disorder that affects a large percentage of humans, particularly young children (10-20%). Atopic dermatitis most often begins in childhood before age 5 and may persist into adulthood.
In the most widely read magazine in Portugal (Notícias Magazine), an article was posted featuring intelligent products in our home. Most of the presented products were developed with CeNTI. From bed linen with fragrance releasing properties, to light switch tiles, cushions with energy generation to feed LEDs for lighting and self-cleaning tiles, there are many applications of nanotechnology and smart materials in our home.
