The smart mat that detects motion
HelpInTex is a line of intelligent and multifunctional mats capable of guaranteeing safety and comfort to its users.
In addition to being non-slip, the mat alerts users whenever it is stepped on. This intelligent product is helpful in situations of accidental fall, of dependent older people, for example, or in the context of trespassing (criminality).
The innovation factor
The intelligent mat has conductive threads for detecting the presence and/or movement and fibres with non-slip properties. The Project's innovative character is based on integrating these functionalities into the fabric production process.
An App to receive the information emitted by the mat was also developed. Notifications are sent to its users/owners whenever the mat is walked on.
HelpInTex was born from the know-how of CeNTI, CITEVE and the Portuguese company António Salgado.
