An innovative and intelligent ceramic tile is coming

The REVIPOLISHED Project, developed by CeNTI and the company Revigrés, aims to provide polished technical porcelain tiles, a type of floor, with improved and intelligent properties. The solution seeks to combine aesthetic features with functionalities, focusing on promoting comfort, well-being and energy efficiency.

The improved technical properties of the new coating, such as stain and abrasion resistance, are reached through an energetically efficient process. The Project also includes the development of sensing and monitoring capable of communicating with intelligent home systems.

REVIPOLISHED intends to revolutionize the Construction and Architecture sector, meeting current and future consumption trends, based on the search for greater energy efficiency and responses with more sophisticated, aesthetically appealing and intuitive features and functions.

The innovation was already disclosed at Sustainable Cluster Habitat and Compete2020 newsletters and at the conferences CINCOS’18 – Sustainable Habitat Cluster Congress, InnoLAE - Innovations in Large-Area Electronics 2021, LOPEC - Large-area, Organic and Printed Electronics Convention 2021, and soon at ECS – European Coatings Show 2021.

REVIPOLISHED Project is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalization (COMPETE2020) through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
