FuEL ended with initiative dedicated to Talent and Innovation

Two days were dedicated to Talent, Technology, Investment and Markets, with the participation of researchers, entrepreneurs, businessmen and professionals, in various conferences, workshops and information sessions. The initiative, themed “Sciencepreneur Days”, took place on December 17th and 18th at INL - International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory with the presence of CeNTI.

On the first day, several professionals and representatives of important companies were present to shared knowledge, opinions and experiences. The development of skills, the creation of start-ups, the implementation of business ideas and investment opportunities were some of the themes of the first day, with initiatives open to all attendees and targeted to the scientific community. At the same time there was a hackathon, HACKACITY @ BRAGA, for scientists and enthusiasts.

The second day was also attended by numerous experts and businessmen. The application of technologies in cities was be the main theme on debate. Carlos Ribas, Director of Bosch Braga and representative of the Company in Portugal, and José Teixeira, CEO of the DST Group, were some of the personalities present in the initiative.

Organized by INL, this event closes the FuEL Program, a project developed in collaboration between INL, CeNTI and IPN - Instituto Pedro Nunes. Dedicated to Entrepreneurship, the program supported the transformation of eight ideas into business, based on creativity, technology and innovation.

The FUEL project was co-financed by Portugal 2020, under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Program, in the amount of 318 thousand euros, from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
