iHeatex highlighted on the Portuguese national television TVI
The iHeatex Project, developed by JF Almeida in collaboration with CeNTI and CITEVE - Centro Tecnológico Têxtil e Vestuário, was publicized at the FFF - Fashion Film Factory, a TV program focused on the dissemination of Portuguese fashion and textile industry.
The report highlights a robe with heating properties, one of the prototypes of iHeatex. This Project aims the development of three-dimensional structures with multifunctional and intelligent hybridization sheets, capable of actively manage humidity and heating.
These structures will be incorporated in two types of terry products, such as bathroom articles and in kitchen articles, namely for application in home textiles, and in the hotel industry. This means that products, such as bathrobes, towels, slippers, bathroom rugs or tablecloths, will have an active heating component, as well as an improved moisture management capacity, ensuring quick drying of the products.
The Project was co-financed by Portugal 2020, under the Operational Program for Competitiveness and Internationalization, in the amount of 470 thousand euros from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF)
