Skhincaps Project transforms Textile and Cosmetic Industries
Did you ever imagine wearing the same sweater comfortably in summer and winter? Or moisturize your skin with a natural-based cream that also protects you from bacterial infections? If a few years ago this was unthinkable, now with the Skhincaps Project is an ever-closer reality.
In order to monitor the impact of the project, which ends this year, CeNTI needs your opinion!
CeNTI aims to identify, understand and mitigate barriers to market entry, as well as to understand the expectations regarding the products developed and the opportunities for exploring the generated developments, so the project consortium prepared a questionnaire, addressed to all that in some way are involved in the Textile and Cosmetic Industries and also for the general public, who can enjoy the advantages of these products.
Everyone's opinion is very important and we count on your participation in the questionnaire on cosmetics and textiles.
The Skhincaps Project promises to transform the textile and cosmetic industries through an innovative, sustainable and efficient technology that will allow the development of functional textiles and cosmetics with incorporated biocompatible nanocapsules. Thus, it will be possible to use the same garment in the different seasons, with the development of a textile that creates thermal comfort and adapts to the climate, or use textiles or cosmetics with antimicrobial or anti-aging properties, which release active substances into the skin as essential oils, vitamins and antioxidants.
The European Skhincaps Project, which has a funding of around 3.2 million euros, is coordinated by CeNTI and has four partners: Portuguese Devan-Micropolis, Belgian Pro-Active and Spanish companies Bionanoplus and Telic, as well as three research institutes: the Institut fuer Verbundwerkstoffe (Germany), the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain) and the Teknologian Tutkimuskeskus VTT OY (Finland).
