Wear2Heal featured in the Portuguese Press
Several Portuguese media made the Wear2Heal Project known. The technological innovation was featured in media such as RDP Internacional, Dinheiro Vivo, Notícias Magazine by Jornal de Notícias and Sapo Tek, among others.
In focus were the differentiating aspects of the “leggings for muscle recovery” for athletes, which have “incorporated textile structures with intelligent systems for localised electrostimulation, heating, massage and compression”.
The solution uses emerging technologies associated with materials and processes, namely the integration and printing of electronic devices. Smart textiles will ensure, in addition to optimising the muscle recovery process, the prevention of injuries after sports.
Developed by CeNTI, CITEVE - Centro Tecnológico Têxtil e Vestuário, Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto and the companies Tintex Textiles and HATA, the Project involves approximately 25 researchers and an investment of around 950 thousand euros.
Wear2Heal is co-financed by Portugal 2020, under the Competitiveness and Internationalization Operational Programme (COMPETE 2020) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
