Wear2Heal: textiles for muscle therapy
The project, developed by CeNTI, Tintex, HATA, CITEVE, and the Faculty of Sport of the University of Porto, aims to create textiles that promote muscle recovery and injury prevention after physical activity.
For this purpose, emerging technologies will be used, associated with materials and processes, namely the integration and printing of electronic devices.
Textile systems that promote electro-stimulation and active heating will be developed, as well as an active compression system for localized massage. These advanced textile structures will allow the recovery process optimization after sports.
Considering that sports and physical exercise are increasingly valued, this textile solution aims to be a pioneer and contribute to society’s well-being.
The Wear2Heal Project is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) through the Operational Programme for Competitiveness and Internationalization (Compete 2020).
