CeNTI promotes a Webinar on the use of Nanotechnology in water treatment

On March 19th, the Centre will hold a Webinar within the scope of NanoTheC-Aba Project - "NanoSolutions: Advancing Water Treatment for Sustainable Environments". The free session, which will take place from 9:15 am to 12:30 pm (WET), aims to address the use of nanomaterials in water treatment, with a view to its consumption and environmental protection.

Several professionals and scientists will be present at the initiative, and participants will have the opportunity to learn about the work that has been developed within the Project.

The researchers are developing an integrated water purification system that seeks to reduce the largest spectrum of contaminants of emerging concern and antimicrobial-resistant pathogens through the application of nanomaterials. This technological solution also intends to reuse process effluents, minimising their sending into the environment.

This new, safer, more compact, and efficient system is expected to be applied in mariculture and aquaculture activities, as well as in wastewater treatment facilities.

Specifically, the Webinar will focus on the use and impact of these nanomaterials, considering criteria such as safety and sustainability.

Registration is now open and can be done HERE
