Construction & Architecture

More efficient construction capable of overcoming the environmental policies and needs of the 21st century

One of the largest consumers of energy and non-renewable raw materials on the planet, the construction industry also heavily contributes to the emission of greenhouse gases. To become more sustainable, its environmental impact must be limited. The key question is how to improve the eco-efficiency of building materials to ensure sustainability in this sector.

Through the use of new electronic systems, energy management platforms, energy generation and storage structures and sensor integration, as well as multifunctional, ecological and recyclable materials developed at CeNTI, it is possible to obtain more efficient and environmentally friendly buildings that fit the demands and needs of the 21st century society.

CeNTI collaborates in several projects, in synergy with various forces of the sector, intending to transform conventional materials and products, through the integration of nanotechnology, creating new functionalities and allowing a new range of decorative and architectural solutions.
