WISEN

Wireless Communication Network with integrated intelligent electronic

Co-funded by: -Co-funded by

The WISEN project aims to create an integrated solution for sensing and communication systems, not only to optimize a wireless data transmission architecture in industrial and potentially hazardous environments, but also on the development of new data protection solutions, mainly sensors their integration and the communication architecture. This project was born in response to the growing concern about the work environment to which industrial operators are subjected, and its relationship with the productivity of this type of industries. This concern is increasing from the perspective of large companies from different industrial sectors, but also from the responsible political and economic authorities. The WISEN project is directly connected to the Celtic-Plus European project WINS@HI, in which PROEF, CeNTI and LIPOR are working in partnership with other European partners in Spain, Romania and Czech Republic.

Main goals

WISEN aims to provide, by introducing adaptive and communicating sensing devices into a real-time network and data transfer paradigm, information on the monitoring of potentially hazardous industrial and working environments, in order to enable the prediction and the monitoring of the different variables that influence the working environment, which is one of the premises of the technologies involved in the concept of internet-of-things (IoT). By this, the consortium, between PROEF and CeNTI intent to have a system which will allow the acquisition and rapid transmission of useful information of potentially hazardous industrial working environments.
