Label stores energy and monitors location of goods and equipments
It is a technological solution aiming to optimize the control and logistical management of goods during their transport. It's called TAG-RFID, and it's a label that will allow to monitor, in real-time, the location and status of merchandise or equipment, to ensure that it maintains its quality during transport.
The data obtained through the label, which will also have energy storage capacity, will be transmitted to an App allowing the analysis of all information associated with the product.
The innovation, scheduled to be launched in 2022, results from research by CeNTI and Viatel, a Portuguese company leader in the Telecommunications Network Engineering field.
Although the label has emerged from needs verified by Viatel, directly involved in its creation and use, the consortium's objective is to extend the technology to other companies in the logistics area.
