Portuguese Press highlights CeNTI's technological innovation for health
It's a disruptive Project that has gained the attention of the Portuguese media: SMASUS has already been publicized on RDP Internacional, Porto Canal, Diário do Minho, Atlas da Saúde and ZAP Notícias.
The Project was promoted by CeNTI, the company Neutroplast and the NOVA University of Lisbon's Faculty of Science and Technology (NOVA FCT) and aimed to create intelligent, functional and sustainable packaging that allows the conservation status of medicines and food supplements monitoring.
Users can, therefore, monitor parameters that affect product quality, such as temperature, humidity and the incidence of UV radiation.
In addition to fighting the waste of perishable products (solids and liquids), this innovative solution also intends to increase consumer safety and confidence in packaging, enhancing the products' shelf life.
The packaging coatings are also a differentiating feature, as they incorporate materials of biological origin and/or environmentally friendly.
