Application deadline for BIOMAT’s Open Tender extended until the end of September

The BIOMAT Project has extended the deadline for the 2nd Call of its Open Innovation Test Bed (OITB) Open Tender, an innovation ecosystem that offers free access to disruptive technologies and complementary services. Small and medium-sized companies (SMEs), start-ups or other interested entities can submit their proposal by September 30th.

This is a unique opportunity to benefit from the know-how and services of a wide range of research centres, universities and cutting-edge companies to develop bio-based nano-enabled polyurethane (PUR) foams and composites. The idea is that these new products can replace traditional materials made from petroleum-derived compounds and devoid of functional properties.

Applications are open to entities in the Construction, Automotive, Furniture and Bedding sectors and other technology domains, such as lightweight nano-enabled multifunctional materials and components, nano-enabled surfaces and membranes, and bio-based nano-materials and solutions.

Therefore, BIOMAT aims to provide, free of charge to selected institutions, conditions that allow them to test, implement and invest in differentiating solutions through pilot-scale production lines and business support services, particularly in nanotoxicity assessment, intellectual property protection, marketing plans, and mentoring, among others.

Interested entities must register by September 30th HERE.

In addition to CeNTI, another 25 partners from 8 countries are part of the Project consortium, namely Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Latvia and Israel. BIOMAT is funded by the Horizon 2020 European Union Research and Innovation Programme.
