Description:

CeNTI is strengthening its Smart Materials Department.

We are looking for a motivated professional to join the Batteries & Energy Generation team, with interest and experience in the development, integration and validation of energy storage systems for stationary and mobility applications.

The selected candidate will participate in R&D activities related to the development, assembly and integration of battery modules and packs, as well as the functional validation of energy storage systems and the development of solutions for industrial applications. The role will also contribute to the definition of technical requirements for the integration of these systems into electronic systems and industrial applications.

The work will be carried out within the scope of national and European R&D projects, in close collaboration with industrial and scientific partners.

 

Specific requirements:

- MSc or PhD in Physics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or a related field;
- Experience in energy storage systems, including battery modules and packs;
- Experience in the electrical, electrochemical, thermal and mechanical characterisation of batteries and energy storage systems;
- Knowledge of the mechanical integration of battery modules and packs, electrical interconnections and assembly processes;
- Knowledge of battery thermal management, including thermal materials, heat dissipation, thermal interfaces, and passive or active cooling systems, will be valued;
- Experience in battery diagnostics, degradation analysis, SOH, SOC, SOP or validation methodologies will be valued;
- Experience in the development of testing methodologies and the use of laboratory and pilot-scale equipment;
- Strong teamwork skills, flexibility and adaptability to R&D challenges;
- Good communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English being mandatory;
- Availability for occasional travel.

- Critical thinking and strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Proactive attitude, autonomy and results-oriented mindset;
- Motivation to work in multidisciplinary teams;
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to meet deadlines;

We are looking for a motivated professional to join the Printed Electronics team, with interest and experience in the development of sensors, sensing systems and functional devices based on printing technologies for applications across different industrial sectors.

The selected candidate will participate in R&D activities related to the development, manufacturing, characterisation, integration and validation of printed and flexible sensors, covering the entire development cycle from concept to demonstration in a relevant environment.

The work will be carried out within the scope of national and European R&D projects, in close collaboration with industrial and scientific partners.

 

Specific requirements:

- MSc or PhD in Physics, Micro and Nanotechnology, Mechatronics, Biomedical, Materials Engineering or a related field;
- Experience in the development of sensors, functional devices or sensing systems;
- Knowledge of functional printing technologies, printed electronics or device manufacturing will be valued;
- Experience in the electrical and functional characterisation of sensors and devices;
- Knowledge of sensor integration with electronic systems, signal conditioning or instrumentation will be valued;
- Experience in device encapsulation, reliability, calibration and validation methodologies will be valued;
- Experience in structural, microstructural and functional characterisation techniques;
- Experience in R&D projects and collaboration with industry will be valued;
- Strong teamwork skills, flexibility and adaptability to R&D challenges;
- Good communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English being mandatory;
- Availability for occasional travel.
