BATERIAS 2030 mobilizing project results from a joint reflection of several agents that seek, in an integrated and structured way, to answer to the decarbonisation and dissemination of sustainable energy communities. To this end, the project's goal is to develop batteries of the future and introduce these technological developments into solutions for urban environment. Thus, the initiative is based on development of disruptive technologies that can be integrated throughout all value chains, being marked by reliable, sustainable, easily scalable state-of-art solutions that are also accessible to the consumer. As such, BATERIAS 2030 leverages science and technology around the theme of production, storage and management of sustainable energy.
The project will be developed by a consortium composed of 14 companies, able to value the results expected in each PPS (Process, Product, Service), but also by 9 non-business entities that own technologies and specific knowledge of high added value in the field. The project comprises 6 PPS, 4 of which focused on technical-scientific domains (PPS1 to PPS4), being the resulting technologies integrated and demonstrated in an urban space (PPS5), seeking to establish an energy community, based on a low-carbon micro-network, promoting the replacement of fossil fuel consumption and, thus, the reduction of CO2 in the urban space.
As a result, 28 new technologies are expected to be developed and, in the end, these must be applied in a living laboratory, establishing an energy community based on a low-carbon micro-network.
