Sustainable packaging and products to replace fossil plastics

"From Fossil to Forest” Innovation Pact aims the development of cellulose-based packaging and products to replace fossil plastics. This transformation focused on the development of innovative forest-based products will be crucial to achieving the Green Deal goals, ensuring a socially fair transition to a positive economy for nature and neutral for climate.

The development and production of these solutions, still not well known at the state-of-the-art level, will be possible through R&D activities, which include tasks related to the development of prototypes, and their subsequent industrialization, involving the production, in an industrial context, of the evolved and approved solutions in the action lines outlined in this agenda.
