R2UTechnologies | modular system

The Innovation Pact “R2UTechnologies | modular system” aims the development and industrialization of a new disruptive concept of modular construction. This concept will be developed in order to meet the growing market’s needs and the new sector’s challenges, particularly in terms of sustainability and environmental protection. As a result, the Pact will empower the business and academic sector with means, knowledge and key skills to create, on national territory, a cluster for global supply of modular construction sector, thus envisaging the launch of 18 Products, Processes and Services (PPSs) with a tradable and internationalizable profile at the end of the project.

Main Goals/Activities

The Agenda is structured into 7 Work Packages (WPs), each focused on a different segment of the construction sector's value chain, such as:

engineering and design phase associated with modular construction (WP01);
new high-performance materials (WP02) and finished products relating to different components or specialized areas of the construction process (WP03);
creation of a digital collaborative work environment and verticalization of IoT systems, as well as respective digital services for creating modular buildings with customizable intelligent monitoring and control capabilities (WP05);

operationalization of the manufacturing and assembly process of final modular construction solutions (WP04) and training and training (WP06).

These WPs aim to meet the current and future sector’s needs, with the aim of creating a synergistic network between partners and relevant players, minimizing dependence on external markets.

In this Agenda, CeNTI will have a strong participation in the development of innovative technological solutions for integration into materials and products for modular construction, development of technological solutions capable of generating energy, as well as development of technological solutions capable of monitoring the operator and the factory floor.
