CPVH: A smarter way to heat and light the buildings of the future!

Projects

CPVH refers to an innovative Project that aims to transform the way buildings generate electricity and heat.

In practice, concentrated hybrid photovoltaic modules are being developed that, when integrated into building façades, will enable the simultaneous production of electricity and heat. The system, which also incorporates holographic lenses, high-efficiency perovskite solar cells, and advanced thermal collectors, aims to supply hot water, regulate indoor thermal conditions and improve energy efficiency, while maintaining a reduced visual and environmental impact.

The Project, led by the Portuguese company Castros - Iluminações Festivas, benefits from the expertise of CeNTI and the companies Matglow (Portugal) and Solaires (Canada). This international consortium also seeks to connect this innovative system to the Internet of Energy (IoE), enabling intelligent monitoring and real-time decision-making.

Through this initiative, the consortium aims not only to introduce a highly advanced and differentiating solution to the construction sector, but also to contribute to the decarbonisation, digitalisation, and decentralisation of energy in buildings, strengthening their autonomy in relation to traditional energy production and distribution models.

This Project is supported by COMPETE 2030, Portugal 2030, and the European UnionEuropean Funds closer to you.
