CeNTI’s technological developments within the RN21, AM2R, and PBA Projects have been featured in the Portuguese media, namely Expresso, ECO, TSF, and CMTV.

The Expresso Project "New ideas for the forest" gathered ten innovative proposals capable of transforming the national forestry sector, among them the Integrated Project RN21 – Natural Resin for the 21st century. The article underscored CeNTI's role in this consortium, emphasising the potential of natural resin as a renewable and strategic raw material with applications across various industries, including automotive, food, textiles, and footwear.

RN21 aims to revitalise the natural resin value chain, promoting its sustainable exploitation and boosting the national bioeconomy. It is a joint effort, bringing together companies and entities from the scientific and technological system (SCTN), to enhance a sector with a strong regional impact.

Meanwhile, the AM2R – Mobilising Agenda for Business Innovation in the Two-Wheel sector, which also relies on CeNTI's know-how, was featured in ECO and TSF. Both the article and the radio programme featured some of the solutions that have already been developed as part of the Project, such as a reflective jacket, a backpack that signals a change of direction, and bicycle grips that alert users of potential risks.

AM2R's mission is to strengthen the competitiveness of the two-wheeler industry in Portugal, promoting autonomy from external markets and investing in innovation, sustainability and digitalisation. There is, therefore, a strong commitment to the development of differentiating products and reinforcing the connection between companies and entities within the scientific and technological system.

The Textiles Vertical (VT) of the Blue Bioeconomy Pact (PBA) was also featured on national television, specifically on CMTV's “Falar Global” programme, in a report focused on Encontro Ciência 2025, where CeNTI showcased a range of innovative technological solutions.

PBA-VT focuses on developing fibres and textile structures from discarded fishing nets, and marine biomass, as well as new dyeing and finishing methods using algae derivatives and solutions for treating textile effluents using marine-origin microalgae and bacteria. The goal is to develop sustainable alternatives for the Textile and Clothing industry.

With a strong focus on sustainability and the circular economy, the PBA promotes the reindustrialisation of Portuguese industries through marine-based biotechnological solutions, aiming to reduce dependence on fossil resources and foster a greener, more resilient economy.

These mentions reinforce the public recognition of CeNTI's contribution and impact in structuring actions for the country's technological and business development.

RN21, AM2R, and PBA are funded by the European Commission's Recovery and Resilience Facility.
