TEXP@CT - Innovation Pact for the Digitalisation of Textiles and Clothing was the main topic of a news article in Jornal de Notícias, a renowned Portuguese newspaper. In an extensive article, the publication highlighted some technological solutions being developed with CeNTI's contribution.

In total, 12 disruptive products are being created with the Centre's know-how, including a smart heated robe, personal protective equipment that measures workers' body temperature, and a computer system where artificial intelligence can detect tears in fabrics.

These innovations are part of TEXP@CT, a national-scale Project involving 40 entities and a global investment of 45.8 million euros. Its main objective is to revolutionise and transform the Portuguese Textile and Clothing Industry to make it more digital, sustainable, and competitive.

The consortium of this Innovation Pact is led by the company Impetus Portugal - Têxteis S.A., with CITEVE - Technological Center for the Textile and Clothing Industry as the scientific coordinator.

By the Project's end, 26 digital solutions and technologies will have been developed for different work areas, which include artificial intelligence, data sharing (cloud), digital skills, robotisation, smart textiles, and others.

TEXP@CT is funded by the European Commission's Recovery and Resilience Facility.
